'The Outsiders' celebrates 50 years

The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton is celebrating its 50th anniversary.
The novel was originally published in 1967 when Hinton was just 18-years-old. It was so popular, it was made into a movie in 1983, For it’s 50th anniversary, an official Outsiders museum will be created in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where the story takes place. The museum will be made by Danny O’ Connor (fanboy and House of Pain member) who is collecting artifacts from the book, movie, and author. The Outsiders sold millions of copies and continues to be a required reading among many schools in the U.S.
