Lamborghini Aventador S Coupe Launched In India At Rs 5.01 Crore
Lamborghini has launched the most inexpensive variant of the Aventador in India - say hello to the Aventador S Coupe. Priced at Rs 5.01 Crore, ex-showroom, it replaces the Aventador LP 700-4 as the new 'inexpensive' offering in the lineup.

The Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 has been on sale since 2011, it is named after a famous fighting bull which was appreciated for the courage it showed in the bull ring at Zaragoza, Spain in 1993. The flagship sportscar from Lamborghini seems to have inherited the characteristics of the bull too.Over the 6 years that it has been in production, the base LP 700-4 has kept its place amongst the competition. The Aventador S is the first major change the model has received to make it more potent. Highlights include a more powerful V12 motor, 4-wheel steering, selectable driving modes, aerodynamic gains, etc.The Aventador's modern-classic design remains - Lamborghini claims the design is inspired by various icons. NASA's space shuttle, sharks, fighter jets, venomous snakes are some of the cool things which have inspired the design. The Aventador S gets a new front bumper with snake-fang like extensions and a new splitter design, the side intakes and cooling ducts have also been re-shaped, and the rear now features a new diffuser and hexagonal surround for the triple-exhaust. The design elements are not just for show, these provide up to 130 per cent more downforce while also reducing turbulence and improving cooling.Inside, the Aventador is about luxury, technology and sportiness. The instrument cluster now features a TFT LCD screen with changeable displays, there are options to get some surfaces inside laden with 'Carbon Skin' or leave some of the carbon fibre exposed. The sports seats and other upholstery can be covered with almost any material that a customer wants.
One of the technical highlights of the Aventador S is its all-new sophisticated central-processor - called the LDVA. The Aventador S is the first model in the company's current lineup to features 4-wheel steering, this allows for better handling capabilities at highers speeds (rear wheels point in the same direction as the front) and shorter turning radius at lower speeds (rear wheels turn in the opposite direction as the front). The Aventador S is also fitted with an active suspension which can be set to suit the driving conditions.
The Aventador S gets a 4-wheel drive system - as was the case with the LP 700-4 - but it has been enhanced to work with the new processing unit and the 4-wheel steering. The system can transfer the power/torque between the front and rear axles for the best grip at all times. The system, coupled with the specifically designed Pirelli P Zero tyres, the Aventador can be driven on the limit without having to worry about losing control. The Aventador S gets selectable driving modes - these change the characteristics of the engine, transmission, 4-wheel drive system, steering, suspension and stability control system. Drivers can choose between 'Strada', 'Sport', 'Corsa' and a new customisable 'Ego' mode.

The Aventador S continues to be powered by the 6.5-litre, naturally aspirated V12 motor, which now develops 740PS (up by 40PS) at an ear-shattering 8,400rpm. Paired to a single-clutch 7-speed automatic transmission, the Aventador S can accelerate from 0-100kmph in 2.9 seconds, claims Lamborghini.
