I'm not positive, but I think the TIE Gunship (which is also known as the "TIE Rapier") is a fanfic creation. It features adequate firepower, including one ion cannon, and it's horrendously slow, has a deflector shield system, and it even has a couple of concussion missiles (you CAN choose to loud out more ordinance in skirmishes, however). But calling it a "gunship" is a hard sell for me. Perhaps if the lasers had a longer range, or another type of primary weapon.

Regardless, I find this ship pretty tough to dogfight with. But to be fair, a "gunship" is not designed for dogfighting, but rather for concentrated firepower. At any rate, the design of the ship is pretty neat.
