Attaching objects to the outside one’s vehicle is often a great way to transport large and awkward cargo, but that does not come without potential dangers.

Attaching objects to the outside of one’s vehicle is often a great way to transport large cargo, but that does not come without potential dangers.
One example of the sorts of calamities that can ensue occurred on Friday in Broward County, Florida.
According to WFTV, as Christina Theisen drove along an area Interstate and behind a motor home, an aluminum oar broke free from the exterior of the vehicle just ahead of her.
The long metal object bounced off the front of her car and then crashed through the driver’s side windshield.
Luckily, she had her eyes and attention on the road, and was able to duck out of the way just in time.
The Sun Sentinel reports that according to authorities, "Theisen's case is closed, unless more information about the motor home becomes available."
