Learn how to make Bhakarwadi, a popular crispy Indian snack recipe from our chef Archana on Ruchkar Mejwani.

Ingredients:

250 gms All Purpose Flour
2 tbsp Gram Flour
3 tbsp Hot Oil
3 tbsp Grated Dry Coconut
1 tbsp Red Chilli Powder
1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
1 tbsp Coriander Seeds Powder
1 tbsp Cumin Seeds Powder
1 tsp Poppy Seeds
1/2 tsp Fennel Seeds
1 tsp Sesame Seeds
1/2 tsp Garam Masala
1 Cup Thin Sev
Salt to taste
Oil for deep frying
Water

Method:

- To make the dough in a large bowl add all purpose flour, gram flour, salt and hot oil. Mix everything with a spoon.
- Add water as required and make a dough. Keep this dough aside for sometime.
- In a mixer grinder add dry grated coconut, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander seeds powder, cumin seeds powder, poppy seeds, fennel seeds, sesame seeds, garam masala, salt and thin sev. Grind everything to a smooth powder.
- Heat oil for deep frying.
- Divide the dough in two equal parts.
- Start rolling out thin chapatis from each dough.
- Apply the ground masala on each chapati and start folding it inwards as shown in the video.
- Roll the chapatis and close the ends properly.
- Cut equal size rolls and slightly press them down.
- Deep fry all the rolls in medium hot oil.
- Crispy Bhakarwadi is ready to snack on!
