Gabon’s Constitutional Court has upheld President Ali Bongo’s narrow election victory.
His main opponent, Jean Ping, challenged the win in the August 27 vote.
Bongo, whose family has ruled the central African oil producing nation for almost 50 years, has called on his allies and opponents to work together.
Violence erupted after the election result was initially announced, leading to six deaths and major damage in the capital, Libreville and elsewhere in the country.
