Sen. Susan Collins announced she would not vote for Donald Trump on Monday, joining a rapidly growing list of high-profile Republicans distancing themselves from the republican nominee.
“I will not be voting for Donald Trump for president,” the senator from Maine wrote in an op-ed published in the Washington Post on Monday night.
“This is not a decision I make lightly, for I am a lifelong Republican.
But Donald Trump does not reflect historical Republican values nor the inclusive approach to governing that is critical to healing the divisions in our country.”
Collins also said she does not support Trump's rival, Democrat Hillary Clinton
