Shocking CCTV footage has emerged from Shanghai Pudong airport of the moment a man set off a homemade explosive near a check-in counter on Sunday.

The video captures the moment a man threw what was reported as a bottle of beer filled with explosives near the counter, injuring four people.

The man reportedly cut his own neck after the explosion.

He was arrested and taken to hospital.
