NASA astronaut Scott Kelly landed in Kazakhstan along with Russian cosmonauts Mikhail Kornienko and Sergey Volkov. The capsule carrying Kelly and his Russian counterparts landed in a steppe near a Kazakh city.A search and rescue team located the capsule. Kelly and Kornienko have been aboard the space station for 340 days, about twice as long as previous crews. Their flight sets a record for the space station and for the longest U.S. space mission. Kelly is part of an experiment to determine the effects of prolonged space travel on humans.
