Nagpur, Mar 02 (ANI): Farmers in Nagpur district are in distress as untimely rain and heavy hailstorm have destroyed large swathes of orange orchards. Hailstorm lashed several parts of Maharashtra’s Vidarbha region, which comprises of Nagpur and Amravati division. The inclement weather damaged the whole orange belt of Katol, Narkhed, Kalmeshwar, Mohpa and Saoner. Farmers said they suffered losses worth rupees lakhs. The farmers have demanded immediate help from the government as many feared that they would not be able to repay the loans.
