Kashmir, Feb 27 (ANI): Normal life was hit in Srinagar on Saturday as shutdown was observed in the Valley over the Jawaharlal Nehru University unrest. Separatist Hurriyat Conference gave a shutdown call against the arrests of students and a former professor of two state-run varsities in New Delhi on sedition charges. Markets wore a deserted look, schools and offices remained shut and traffic stayed off the roads in Srinagar as people stayed indoors. Police and security personnel stood on guard across the city while roads were blocked with concertina wires.
