A group of protesters set up barricades on the roads of Istanbul's Tarlabasi neighbourhood and set fire to rubbish bins following a protest in the Taksim area, Sunday and Monday. The spilled-over protest was called by a local branch of the People's Democratic Party (HDP) to demonstrate against the curfews that have been imposed in certain areas of eastern Turkey. State security units attempted to extinguish the fires with anti-riot water cannon vehicles.
