Ulja e potencialeve të ekonomisë shqiptare sidomos për pjesën e prodhimit të saj është reflektuar kohët e fundit edhe në kursin e këmbimit valutor. Megjithë fluksin e ardhjes së emigrantëve për sezonin e verës dhe sigurisht edhe periudhës zgjedhore, rezultati i lekut në përballë monedhave të huaja po del jashtë parashikimeve. Ekspertët mendojnë se vetë situata zgjedhore ka orientuar konsumatorët dhe kompanitë drejt kursimit, gjë e cila jep efekt zinxhir në rënien e investimeve dhe mungesën e kërkesës për lekun.
