Presidenti i Republikës Bujar Nishani deklaroi se kriza në KQZ duhet zgjidhur sa më shpejt dhe i kërkoi opozitës të dërgojë emrat në këtë institucion. Nishani apeloi për organizimin e një fushate të qetë dhe ftoi partitë ta shohin procesin si një garë, ku dikush fiton e dikush humbet. Persa i takon shpenzimeve marramendëse te partive ne fushate, ne nje vend te varfër si Shqipëria, Nishani nënvizoi nevojën e transparencës. Ndërsa dilemës nese media pasqyron apo ndonjëherë behet pjese e krijimit apo zmadhimit te problemit, aktoret e medias iu përgjigjen se jane ne rolin e tyre profesional. Presidenti u shpreh i bindur se falë reformave Shqipëria mund të arrijë të liberalizojë vizat me SHBA, një premtim i kryeministrit Berisha, por i vlerësuar si objektiv i paarritshëm edhe për shumë kohë nga opozita.
