Pas marrëveshjes së javës së shkuar, mes dy kryeministrave Thaçi e Daçiç, në vendkalimin kufitar në Merdare dhe Jarinë ka nisur sot zbatimi i asaj që quhet Menaxhimi i Integruar i Kufirit, ose që njihet edhe si IBM. Drejtuesit e Doganës së Kosovës thanë se në, autoritetet doganore nga Republika e Kosovës dhe ajo e Serbisë që dje, kanë qenë të pranishme në vendet e tyre të reja të punës në Merdare. Sipas tyre, marrëveshja "IBM" tashmë ka nisur së zbatuari dhe nuk ka asnjë problem.
Edhe doganierët serbë, që nga e diela, janë vendosur në objektet e ndërtuara nga autoritetet kosovare. Edhe në veri të Kosovës, në vendkalimin kufitar Jarinjë puna ka nisur, ashtu siç ishte njoftuar edhe me parë. Zyrtarët kosovarë kanë deklaruar se zbatimi i marrëveshjes për Menaxhimin e Integruar të Kufirit është një detyrim i të dyja shteteve dhe garantues i saj është Bashkimi Europian. Sipas tyre, me fillimin e zbatimit të kësaj marrëveshjeje, para së gjithash do të luftohet kontrabanda dhe fenomenet e tjera negative që kanë ndodhur në kufirin ndërshtetëror mes Kosovës dhe Serbisë. Sipas paktit mes Thaçit e Daçiç, në dy pikat e tjera doganore, zbatimi i IBM-së, nis më 31 dhjetor.

Kosovo officials have stated that the implementation of the Integrated Border Management Agreement is an obligation of the two countries and its guarantor is the European Union. According to them, with the implementation of this agreement, first of all will to fight smuggling and other negative phenomena that have occurred in the interstate border between Kosovo and Serbia. Under the pact between Thaci Dacic, two other custom items, the implementation of IBM, launched on December 31.
