Dhjetëra fëmije te komunitetit rom ne Korçe, nuk figurojnë te regjistruar ne asnjë prej regjistrave te gjendjes civile. Mbi 50 te mitur, zyrtarisht janë inekzistente.
Divorcet e shpeshta, tek çiftet rome dhe neglizhenca e prindërve, ka lëne jashtë regjistrave themeltare fëmijët e tyre, duke iu privuar te drejtën për te qene banor i Shqipërisë. Por ky fenomen, kryesisht për komunitetin rom, ka shkaktuar probleme me pushtetin vendor kryesisht për shërbimin funeral. Një urdhër i ish ministrit Bujar Nishani, ne janar te këtij viti, lehtëson procedurat e regjistrimit te fëmijëve te paregjistruar ne zyrat e gjendjeve civile. Nuk dihet se sa mund te jete numri i te paregjistruarve ne gjithë vendin ndërsa për policinë konsiderohet problem shqetësues pasi këta fëmije mund te shfrytëzohen lehtësisht për trafikim.
