Qeveria e Kosovës ka miratuar ne unanimitet marrëveshjen e arritur mes Kosovës dhe BE-se, e cila ka si qellim zgjatjen e mandatit te misionit ligjvënës EULEX deri me 15 qershor te vitit 2014. Marrëveshja u arrit pas disa negociatash dhe shkëmbim te letrave mes Presidentes se Kosovës Atifete Jahjaga dhe përfaqësueses se BE-se për politiken e jashtme Kethrin Ashton.
Zëvendëskryeministri Hajredin Kuçi sqaroi se kjo marrëveshje konsiston ne zgjatjen e mandatit te EULEX, emërimin e gjyqtareve dhe prokuroreve, te cilëve do t'u lejohet edhe armëmbajtja, si dhe do te gëzojnë imunitet. Gjate mbledhjes se qeverise u vu re pakënaqësi e përfaqësuesve te komunitetit serb dhe turk, te cilët kërkuan t'u zgjatet e drejta për t'u përfaqësuar ne Kuvendin e Kosovës edhe për dy mandate te tjera. Një gjë e tille ishte e parashikuar ne planin e Ahtisarit, deri ne përmbylljen e pavarësisë se mbikëqyrur te Kosovës. Përgjigjja e kryeministrit Thaçi ishte se për këtë kerkese do te ketë konsultime edhe me ndërkombëtaret. Kërkesa e minoriteteve pritet te ndikoje edhe ne votimin e se premtes me vote kundër ose abstenim, ndaj ndryshimeve kushtetuese, pak dite përpara përfundimit te pavarësisë se mbikëqyrur.

The Government of Kosovo has unanimously approved the agreement reached between Kosovo and the EU, which aims to extend the mandate of EULEX legislative mission until 15 June 2014. The agreement was reached after several negotiations and exchange of letters between the President of Kosovo Atifete Jahjaga and representing that EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton.
Mr Kuçi explained that this agreement consists of the extension of the mandate of EULEX, the appointment of judges and prosecutors, who will be allowed weapons possession, and shall enjoy immunity. During the meeting that the government was noted dissatisfaction Serbian and Turkish community representatives, who sought to extend the right to be represented in the Assembly for two other seats. One thing was foreseen in the Ahtisaari plan, until the completion of supervised independence of Kosovo. Response to Prime Minister was that this request will have consultations with internationals. Demand is expected to affect minorities in Friday's vote by voting against or abstaining, to constitutional changes, a few days before the end of supervised independence.
