Zona e Bulqizës bën pjese ne vijën sizmike Vlorë-Lushnjë-Elbasan-Dibër. Tërmetet e këtyre ditëve kane qene te përqendruara pikërisht ne Bulqizë, por sipas sizmologëve kërkohet një studim i veçante i kësaj zone për te kuptuar lidhjen e ndërsjelle me minierat. Ne baze te këtij studimi do kuptohej se si mund te ndikojnë gërmimet e vazhdueshme te tokës për nxjerrjen e minerareve dhe rrezikun për shkarje te mundshme te saj.
