Politikanet shqiptare kanë marrë mbështetje nga SHBA sa i takon çështjes së pronave dhe reformës zgjedhore.
Kjo është konfirmuar pas takimeve që kreu i PR, Fatmir Mediu dhe deputeti i PDIU, Dashamir Tahiri, kanë zhvilluar me kryetarin e kongresit amerikan John Bohener, si dhe kongresmenet e tjerë te senatit amerikan. "Forcimi i reformave demokratike ne Shqipëri, forcimi i institucioneve, respektimi i te drejtës se pronës private si e drejte themelore është një detyrim që shtetit shqiptar duhet të përmbushë për të ecur përpara." Ky është mesazhi i përcjellë nga të gjitha takimet e Meidut dhe Tahirit ne Uashington.
