265 trupa ushtarake dhe 5 efektive policie janë nisur sot drejt Afganistanit me mision paqeruajtës dhe trajnues. Për 6 muaj me radhe, kontingjenti i 10-te i përbërë nga 220 trupa do te vendoset ne qytetin e Heart ku do te patrulloje vetëm për ruajtjen e sigurisë. Ndërsa kontingjenti "Eagle 4" me 45 ushtarake te forcave tokësore, do te jete ne vijën e pare te luftimeve ne Kandahar. 5 efektivet e policie nga ana e tyre do te kryejnë detyrën e trajnuesve te policisë afgane. Ky mision nuk është i pari për Shqipërinë. Edhe me herët forcat tona kane kryer misionet e tyre ne Afganistan. Ne ceremoninë e përcjelljes se ushtarakeve te zhvilluar ne aeroportin e Rinasit ishte i pranishëm edhe ambasadori amerikan ne Tirane, Aleksandër Arvizu.
