Presidenti Bamir Topi, duke iu referuar situatës se tensionuar ne veri te Kosovës, theksoi domosdoshmërinë e anëtarësimit ne NATO te te gjithë vendeve te rajonit për krijimin e një klime te sigurte.
Gjate samitit qe po mbahet ne Durrës, te ministrave te Mbrojtjes se vendeve te kartës "Adriatik 5", kreu i shtetit nënvizoi se i duhet dhënë fund politikave nacionaliste qe jo vetëm cenojnë demokracinë, por edhe krijojnë destabilitet ne rajon. "Ende ka politika dhe qarqe të cilat të ardhmen e shohin përmes projekteve nacionaliste duke cenuar parime e vlera të shenjta për demokracinë. Me rëndësi themelore mbetet një vullnet i qartë politik refuzues ndaj çdo projekti të tillë, izolimi i çdo ideje që tenton të rishpallë dhe rivendosë vija ndarëse etnike dhe mbështetja e çdo politike e qëndrimi që e sheh të ardhmen aty ku të gjithë popujt tanë duan, në bashkimin e plotë me vlerat, parimet euroatlantike," deklaroi Topi.
