Council of the European Union : Highlights of the informal meeting of EU leaders on migration.
Tonight, EU leaders discussed how to better handle the ongoing refugee crisis. Better protection of external borders, help to front line EU member states and assistance to countries in the region will be the focus for the coming weeks and months. At least additional 1bn euro will be mobilized for help to the refugees in the region via the UNHCR and the World Food Programme.
