The presidents of Venezuela and Colombia, Nicolas Maduro and Juan Manuel Santos, will meet today in Quito in an attempt to resolve the border crisis between the two countries. The meeting will be mediated by the presidents of Ecuador and Uruguay, Rafael Correa and President Tabare Vazquez. Santos said he was entering the meeting with the best of intentions, but with low expectations. Maduro expressed optimism and indicated he was ready to sign a peace pact. teleSUR
