Bolivia: Coffee Production Down, but Industry Seeks Recovery

Bolivian coffee production has sharply declined since the late 1990s, with output down by 50% and the soil ravaged by unsustainable agricultural practices. But the industry and growers are working to reverse the situation. Production is now on the rise and farmers are taking better care of the land. The industry hopes to increase exports from current levels of 40,000 sacks a year to 360,000 by 2020. Dimitri O'Donnell reports from La Paz. teleSUR
