The Selangor government welcomes the proposal by Pahang to build a water treatment plant within its borders, as mooted by Pahang MB Adnan Yaakob. However it reiterated that there is no hurry to do so. "The state government believes that the water transfer project between the two states does not have to be implemented hastily," said Selangor MB Khalid Ibrahim.

His priority is to complete the current restructuring of Selangor's water industry
