The Colombian city of Cucuta on the border with Venezuela has been a center for smuggling and speculation, much of it controlled by right-wing paramilitary groups. TeleSUR correspondent Milton Henao reports that the big money changers are involved in money laundering from drug trafficking linked to these paramilitary groups. Some campesino communities in the region, however, are trying to change that. They are developing their own controls over the border to put an end to the looting of Venezuela through smuggling and speculation. Milton Henao reports from Cucuta, Colombia for teleSUR.
