After five years of war, the conflict on Syrian soil continues to affect the security and safety of the people. UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs, Stephen O’Brien, who just arrived in Syria, announced that 12.2 million people are in need of assistance in Syria, including more than 5.6 million children. The conflict has displaced half the population of the country, and 4 million people are registered as refugees. Some citizens, however, have returned home, including 150 families that recently returned to Husseiniya. Hazem Abdullah reports from Damascus for teleSUR.
