The long held stereotype that the mainstream media is biased has been affirmed by a media monitoring study.

The study: Watching the Watchdog, is a collaboration between the Centre for Independent Journalism and the University of Nottingham Malaysia.

It finds that newspaper and television news, including the national news agency Bernama, heavily favors Barison National, not only in terms of volume, but in tone of coverage as well.
