Peruvian troops rescued seven children and eight adults who had been kidnapped and were being held captive by the Shining Path insurgents. The children, between the ages of 4 and 13, were malnourished and suffered from skin diseases; they were being trained to become guerrilla fighters. Last week 26 children and 13 adults were rescued and authorities believe an additional 18 children are being held by the rebels in remote areas. teleSUR
