Guero, an African lion that has spent much of his life mistreated and trapped in a small cage, has been rescued and is getting the help he needs.

Guero, an African lion that has spent much of his life mistreated and trapped in a small cage, has been rescued and is getting the help he needs. 

He was recently transported from his home in Mexico and placed in the care of The Wild Animal Sanctuary in Colorado. Medical treatment was provided by a team of experts at Colorado State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital. 


Doctors there say the 15-year-old animal had suffered greatly during his time in captivity, and they are doing all they can to remedy the many issues.&n
