Leaflet bombs were detonated in Guayaquil outside Ecuador's two leading daily newspapers, one pro-government, the other allied with the opposition. No injuries were reported. A communique left on the scene attributed the actions, as well as a bomb attack two weeks ago at the headquarters of the ruling Alianza Pais party, to the previously unknown National Liberation Front (FLN). Thus far authorities say no links have been discovered between the FLN and the opposition. Liz Scherffius reports from Quito.
