Four bombs explode on Cairo metro

At least two people have been wounded in Egypt’s capital Cairo after four homemade bombs were detonated on the metro during rush hour on Wednesday.

The blasts happened at one central station and two others in the suburbs.

The bombs were described by police as “very primitive” and with “limited power.”

Egyptian authorities have suspended all services on the metro.

The attacks come a month after the election of General Abdel Fattah al-Sissi as president, after he banned his main opposition the Muslim Brotherhood and imprisoned the former democratically elected president Mohamed Morsi.
