Argentina: 28.5% Minimum Wage Hike Announced

Workers in Argentina will soon benefit from a 28.5% wage hike recently passed by the government,which raises the minimum monthly wage to US$663. The hike was agreed upon by President Cristina Fernandez and Labor Minister Carlos Tomada. The hike will take place in two parts, with 18.5% going into effect in August and the remaining 10% in January. teleSUR
