Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow video review of Super Black Bass for the Super NES developed and published by HOT-B. A surprisingly realistic simulation, Super Black Bass comes from HOT-B, the developers of the NES game The Black Bass. This 16-bit follow-up is similar in many ways, but it features vastly improved graphics and presentation. Head out to the lake, pick a lure and try to find yourself some bass. The fish hide in certain parts of the lake at certain times of day—the weather plays a role, too. Once you find them, you still have to catch them, and that’s when it’s important to choose right lure and know how it use it. As you catch bass, your fisherman sort of “levels up,” giving it a slight RPG element. That’s about the only thing that isn’t realistic in Super Black Bass. The game features single-player play on the Super NES. This video review features video gameplay footage of Super Black Bass for the Super NES and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
