Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Barbie: Super Model for the Super NES developed by Tahoe Software Productions and published by Hi Tech Expressions. Following up the infamous Barbie for the NES, Barbie: Super Model arrived on the Super NES a year after it debuted on the SEGA Genesis. The game features four levels that all follow the same structure. Barbie drives, skates or walks through a various location while avoiding obstacles. In the meantime, she can collect purses and makeup to play memory-based minigames. Players catch a quick glimpse of Barbie on a magazine cover and then have to match it—makeup, accessories and outfits. At the end of each level, Barbie has a modeling show, which essentially amounts to pushing the right buttons on the right spots. A game mostly for young players, Barbie: Super Model features single-player and multiplayer play on the Super NES. This video review features video gameplay footage of Barbie: Super Model for the Super NES and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
