A group of 23 young Saint Lucian students will study medicine in Venezuela. They will be enrolled in a seven year course in integrated community medicine at the Salvador Allende University of Health Sciences, an initiative funded by the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA), the bloc of progressive Latin American and Caribbean nations.
