Peace guarantors from Cuba and Norway say they are concerned about the escalation of the armed conflict. The representative from Norway said that the escalation of the armed conflict puts at risk the demining process and actions undertaken to reduce violence. The Colombian government and FARC guerrilla negotiators resumed peace talks in Havana on Monday amid heightened tensions. The Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia lifted its unilateral ceasefire after government forces killed 26 of their guerrillas in a bombing raid in the Cauca region, including a member of the rebels’ negotiating team. teleSUR
