A 26-year-old woman of Fargo, North Dakota has been charged with felony drug possession after police responding to a traffic accident discovered a shattered glass crack pipe and other drug paraphernalia hidden in her vagina.
On Monday, Jeana Marie Smart got behind the wheel and rear-ended another vehicle. Police attending the scene discovered Smart had failed to appear in court on pending drug charges and arrested her.
Noticing blood smeared on the patrol car's seat, officers quizzed her; Smart replied she that the seepage was menstrual blood.
Inside the station, officers observed blood running down Smart's legs and onto the floor. Smart then told officers she has concealed "a pipe" inside her vagina and consented to a body cavity search.
A jailer then removed from her vagina the jagged, broken pipe, glass and a capped syringe. The pipe was logged as evidence and the syringe was discarded.
When Smart's bleeding continued unabated, officers escorted her to a local hospital ER where doctors removed more glass before clearing her for jail. She was then booked into Cass County Jail for possession of a controlled substance.
According to the police report, Smart was released with bail set at $2, 000. She will appear in court on January 3, where her suffering is likely to continue.
