Kansas City police officer Marc Catron this week shared a photo of an accused murderer that he thought was Michael Brown, with the caption: “I’m sure young Michael Brown is innocent and just misunderstood. I’m sure he is a pillar of the Ferguson community.” His post has reportedly sparked an internal review.
Catron posted a picture of a young black man pointing a gun at the camera with a stack of bills in his mouth and a bottle of alcohol next to him.
The only problem is Brown wasn’t the man pictured. The photo actually shows murder suspect Joda Cain, who was accused of killing his great-grandmother in Oregon last year.
It looks like Catron has taken his Facebook page down after people took offense to his posts.
