It’s been one week since friends and family last heard from 23-year-old Abdullah Alkadi, an electrical engineering student at California State University Northridge.

Alkadi was last seen on September 17 at his home on Reseda Boulevard, LAPD officials said.

Alkadi was reportedly trying to sell his car online shortly before his death. According to reports, police have located the vehicle and the person who bought it and determined the transaction is not linked to the disappearance.

Alkadi’s brother Ahmed said he was able to track his brothers cellphone to Beaumont, nearly two hours away. The phone has since been deactivated.

Anyone with information about Alkadi’s disappearance is urged to contact the LAPD.
