4-yr-old girl hands out heroin at Delaware daycare, mistakes it for candy

Delaware police are investigating the case of a four-year-old girl who brought 249 packets of heroin to her daycare center and, mistaking them for candy, passed them out to other children.
The young girl reportedly grabbed the bag of heroin packets from her house, thinking they were replacement candy for the bag of sweets her dog had spoiled.
Teachers at the Hickory Tree Child Care Center in Selbyville called police when they noticed the toddler handing out the bags.
The girl’s mother, Ashley Tull, 30, was also called to the daycare center. She was interviewed and arrested for maintaining a drug property and three counts of endangering a child. She was later released on $6,000 bond.
Investigators quickly confirmed the substance was heroin, but they have not said whether the drugs belonged to Tull. The 249 bags totalled 3.73 grams.
Several children were taken to the hospital as a precaution, but according to reports, none of them opened the packets of heroin. They were all released from the hospital.
The young girl and her two siblings have been placed in the care of a relative.
