Paneer Tikkas is one of the best paneer recipe that can be served as starter or as an accompaniment.
Ingredients
- 1cup hung curd
- 1tbsp roasted gram flour
- 1tbsp ginger and garlic paste
- 1tsp red chili powder
- 1tsp garam masala
- ½ tsp turmeric powder
- ¼ tsp roasted carom seeds (ajwain)
- ½ tsp kasoori methi powder
- salt to taste
- ½ lemon juice
- 1tbsp oil
- 200g paneer (cottage cheese)
- 1 large green bell pepper & onion
- chaat masala for sprinkle
Method
For roasted gram flour
- Melt 2tbsp of butter in a pan and add 1tbsp of gram flour. Roast until get nice nutty flavor.
For Paneer tikka
- in a mixing bowl, take the hung curd and all spices roasted gram flour, ginger and garlic paste, red chili powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, roasted carom seeds, kasoori methi, lemon and salt to taste
- mix the spices with the hung curd
- add oil and mix well
- add paneer, bell pepper and onion to the marinade
- marinate for at least 2 hours in the refrigerator
- skewer the tikkas for shallow fry
- take a non-stick pan, tawa, or grill pan. Heat little oil, place the paneer tikka and shallow fry till golden and crisp on the surface
- sprinkle some chaat masala on it
- serve the paneer tikka hot.
