Datsun GO+ MPV Test Drive And Review In India VO
Apparently, Datsun’s entry was meant to show Indians a new line of options in the already clustered yet confused market of masses’ cars. Now, a chance behind the steering wheel of GO+ made the vision clearer of how that partly called MPV in the skin of ‘estate’ feels when pulled out on the road. See to know more…
Design
Honestly, GO+ MPV hadn’t disappointed for that given price tag. Talking as of a whole new product, it looks as a complete new car, instead of being a stretched version of the hatchback. Lowering end of roof and the length compressed less than 4 meters complemented by the raising beltline successfully cut chunk of masses from its dimensions. It appears pretty sizeable and adorable both with that same GO front grille and other fixtures. The final flick at front bumper is appreciable to make that appearance more eye-soothing.
Interiors
The GO+ given to us was the top-end trim, but still it felt like the basic model as compared to other cars of this segment. An only good gimmick that happened there was the ‘AUX connectivity’. Other than that, plastic and numerous cost-cutting efforts were in abundance where manually adjustable seatbelts were a tad in this zero safety cabin.
Drivability
Despite the added weight, engine still feel punchy to take on the roads with eagerness. Pressed hard, revs are pretty confident to roll on any of the given road condition in India. Even when packed to the core with all passengers seated, power doesn’t feel less than the appropriate. Talking about suspensions, Datsun has stiffened to handle the bumps swiftly. Even corners and other undulations are soaked up well, but due to improper insulations the noise filters inside the cabin. Gearshifts savored for the light response whereas the tyres don’t offer that much grip of road. Otherwise, the light steering and well-grim brakes makes the job easy further.
Overview
The drive of car isn’t there to complain of. In fact, shortcomings can be experienced at the cosmetic side of cabin. To make that very brief, it is rather not to expect a plush interior. Well, the third row is total impractical effort for anyone to sit there except for the kids. It’s better to fold it down use for storing the luggage. Hence, Datsun GO+ is a proper five-seater and not a seven seater, which drives well and acts like an ‘estate’ sedan when comes to practicality.
