Check Out 2014 Datsun GO Hatchback Test Drive by Indian Drives
Reportedly, Datsun GO is about to commence its innings from the coming month, that too for an approximate price tag of three point two lakh Rupees. Ultimately, its test drive has revealed all the beans before the debut. The 'GO' is altogether very crisp and chunky on outers, with the D-shaped grille and the flanked-back headlamps. The creases across its body are adorable being a car of this cost.
Defining the interiors, they are bare basic, done with the good 'fit and finish'. Gear lever and handbrake gets shifted to the central console, for making way to the single-plat bench type seat on front. The winning streak of cabin is, mobile phone docking station for smartphones.
On the backside i.e. at the rear, GO has got big boot space, enough for storing more than three to four suitcases. The leg and shoulder rooms are in plenty for rear seat passengers.
Jumping onto the pilot seat, driving experience was fabulous! The Datsun GO touches three digit speed without breaking a sweat. In short, our test vehicle crossed the mark of one seventy, but was still held lower than its fullest capacity. Body rolls were experienced at corners, but only after certain speed limit. Otherwise, the straight line ability is plaint and safe. It feels stud on every move, just like a big hatchback. True to its terms, underneath the skin it is that same Nissan Micra Active, with the borrowed twelve hundred cc of petrol engine with 3 cylinders. Difference between Active and GO is the "reduced body weight".
Hence, our ratings for Datsun GO is sorted out at 9 out of 10. We believe, the rivals like Maruti Alto and Hyundai Eon shall get ready to face this "big" blow from Japanese.
"Nissan has got a winner on his hand", can be safely uttered after a test drive!
