It took me around 1 hour to set up everything, my DIY dolly or wheel didn't work out, the boat was too heavy when it's fully loaded and the weight broke the wheel brackets. In the end, I had to pull the boat all the way into the sea. Luckily the Intex Seahawk II is light and tough too, I dragged it without worrying because the base of the boat was laminated with another thick layer of PVC.
As I was launching, the wave suddenly picks up, had to wait till it slows down and when it did I row as fast as I could to the sea. I started the outboard motor and let it warmed up for around 5 minutes. I was very surprised by the smoothness of the motor, and it's not that noisy too, it gave decent power and fuel consumption was low. Cruised to a distance of 2 km from shore, as this was the first time testing, I didn't plan to go very far.
I bought this Lucky Fish Finder, another budget gadget, tested it and seems quite useful, although I wasn't sure how accurate it was.No fish was caught, I was busy testing the boat, the engine and the fish finder, the weather stopped me from further testing as the dark cloud gathered and wind picking up.
Overall, I was very pleased with those 3 new toy I acquired, for the price tag, you can't expect more than this.
