The recommended storage conditions for food and beverages may cross the acceptable limits in which the product quality will be affected and in worst-case scenario, potentially health problem may happen as a result of unacceptable/bad storage condition.
Thus, this invention comes as practical solution to provide and works as an indicator to indicate whether unacceptable storage conditions may have occurred before consumption. This indicator is a strip like or small piece that reacts to the level of temperature and/or humidity. The strip is integrated into packaging and remains in its initial shape or characteristics until certain limit has been crossed in which the indicator characteristics (shape, color or text) will change and will never go back to its initial stage. This way buyers/consumers will know that unacceptable storage condition has occurred.
Therefore, this invention aims to provide away to control the quality of products storage. Its application can be extended to other areas in which we want to know if temperature or humidity levels crossed the acceptable limits defined for best performance.
