At least 20 people were killed in bomb attacks Saturday, including five soldiers who died at the hands of a suicide bombing in a separate attack at a checkpoint in Ramadi.

In Baghdad, locals say two separate bombs went off, one of which was carried out in a predominantly Shi'ite district.

(SOUNDBITE) (Arabic) LOCAL RESIDENT, MUWAFAQ MUWAFAQ, SAYING:

"First a bomb went off and when people gathered a car bomb went off. Three people were killed and many others wounded including children. Many people were hurt"

So far no single group is claiming responsibility for the attacks.
