As I drink this cup of coffee with you my friend
and we discuss the frustration of work
of old love affairs gone sour
of how life didnot go as we had wanted it to go
and how strong was our craving to be free
free from this everyday yesmanship
freedom to let the imagination run wild
we mourned the loss of that beautiful childhood
when roses were red and violets were blue
today they were was just flowers sold and bought
for a few dimes
