I survived my Mother's death,
With all my senses intact,
Except for my heart,
For it is there I lack
My Mother's Love.

When she died,
It was so unexpected,
Even though she was ill
And in a hospital, and now,
I lack My Mother's Love.

The Doctors had told me
She was getting better,
And could go home tomorrow...
But then, much to my sorrow...
I lack My Mother's Love,

For she was gone, without warning!
And part of me died that day, with her,
And yet...
Part of her lives on,
In me,

And I find myself,
Left here alone,
The Survivor,
Trying to carry on...
Without her.

My mother has been gone for a very
long time, it seems, but I miss her love
and friendship every day that goes by.
She was an awesome gal, and my
Very Best Friend!
