I know I did something once,
But what it was I know not,
I sat and pondered,
I sat and thought,
I will remember if it kills me,
Because I just have to remember.

I met a man one day while walking,
What we talked about I haven't a clue,
But we sat in the park, and talked til dark,
But only the Lord knows what we said.

I saw a bird in a tree, can't remember what kind,
Because I have such a scrambled mind,
It bugs me to no end,
Because my mind won't bend,
And let me remember what I did,
On any given day, place or time.

I put down my purse, and forgot where.
Now where did it go?
I found it the next day, after work was done.
But can't someone tell me some
Of what I need to know,
Just what was it I did,
